Full Job Description

We are excited to offer this fantastic, opportunity for someone to join this well-established Foundation Learning provision within Newbury College

We are looking for someone who is fun, creative, with a flexible approach to teaching. Forward-thinking, inspirational, and able to respond to challenging behaviour with sensitivity and resilience.

You will:

  • support the Programme Leader and Pathway Leader in the effective organization and delivery of the Focus Pathway

  • keep abreast of new and current developments in the designated SEN area and to implement new initiatives as appropriate

  • participate in team meetings to ensure the consistent delivery of teaching across the department, working with the Programme Leader, Pathway Leader, FL Tutors, Room Leaders and Support Assistants.

  • Experience of teaching or working with students with complex to moderate learning difficulties

  • Level 5 Education and Training or above/equivalent

  • Grade 4/C GCSE or L2 English and Mathematics


  • Desirable Criteria:

  • Assessor Qualification
  • 2 years teaching experience

  • Mentoring/Coaching Qualification

  • Internal Verifiers Qualification (IQA)
