Full Job Description

As a Fostering Social Worker in the team, you will play a key role in supporting Kinship Foster Carers and the children they look after to thrive. With the support of regular supervision from the Team Manager, you will need to build relationships with fostering families and children, providing effective supervision, advice and guidance. You will work closely with the team around the child to facilitate effective service delivery and safeguard and promote the welfare of children., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.

Various Hours Available: Full time 1x position OR PT roles either 2x roles with shared 37 hours or 1x 4 day a week 30 hours post, We will be offering lower caseloads within this team to ensure that the complex support these families need is achievable. This means more time to deliver person-centred care and achieve the best possible outcomes.

This is a countywide team so we will be using a hybrid model of working and office base will be negotiable.
