Full Job Description

St Benedicts Catering Department require 2 food service assistants who have a flexible approach to work and work routines. Some weeks additional hours will be available for holiday cover etc. Please see below for shifts and hours. We require cover across 7 days per week to include weekend working. The successful candidate will be expected to be flexible in their approach to shifts and shift patterns. This post requires weekend working. Additional overtime hours are often available. Full training is provided., To complete daily food service tasks to Trust locations. To ensure the patient, staff and visitor meal service is provided in a safe, clean and hygienic environment. Ensure high standards of cleanliness are met and maintained

Ensure that all food supplies which are delivered are checked following the Food Safety Management System (FSMS)

To be flexible on a day to day basis moving area to area and across departments (within catering)

Deep cleaning

Delivering patient meals

Serving and taking cash in the restaurant

Assist with food preparation as necessary and as requested

Assist with linen storage when deliveries arrive

Shift times between 08.30-12.30 & 13.30-17.30 to include working every other weekend

NB shifts are 4 hours long covering 7 days on 7 days off

Friday - Sunday (3 days @ 4 hours = 12)

Monday - Thursday (4 days @ 4 hours = 16)

16 + 12 = 28/2 weeks = 14 Weekly average.
