Full Job Description
We are a small batch, craft tea brewing business looking for a food production worker who will be responsible for bottling tea, packing customer orders and running errands around the kitchen.
You will be working in a contemporary, fully air-conditioned, shared commercial kitchen with floor to ceiling windows - right in the heart of New Covent Garden Market, home to some of London's most exciting food start ups.

- bottling our tea according to documented processes, including capping and labelling
- cleaning, sanitising and maintaining a clean workspace
- washing kitchen equipment
- unloading deliveries, packing customer orders and stocktaking
- daily opening / closing procedures where required
- work according to established level of food hygiene and safety requirements
- have a willingness to learn attitude and able to adapt to changes in hygiene standards
working knowledge of a commercial kitchen and understanding of its hazards (i.e. cross contamination, allergens) - able to utilise appropriate processes and controls to mitigate risks
- monitor output / products against set standards and report broken / faulty equipment and raw materials
- able to identify when a quality breach is identified and able to follow set procedures to raise and rectify this
- understand how to identify, prioritise and address problems which arise and spot improvement opportunities
- demonstrate initiative and come to the team with suggestions / recommendations
- Strong attention to detail, follows processes, able to work in a team and independently
- Understands food hygiene and safety standards and its application
- Able to demonstrate good problem-solving skills and be proactive
- Good communication and numerical skills
- Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is highly desirable
- Minimum 1 year experience in food preparation
- Level 2 Health & Safety certificate, Kitchen: 1 year (preferred)
