Full Job Description

ACE Aviation Services Ltd are seeking an Operations Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in overseeing efficient daily operations for our clients` flying programme and in the coordination of daily operational matters.,

  • Ensures that the daily flying programme is adhered to as closely as is practical and is line with customer requirements and operational limitations

  • Maintains a continuous radio watch, ensuring that action is taken as approriate in response to radio communications from flight crew

  • Co-ordinates all relevant information and data which impacts on the flying schedule including weather reports, danger areas, flight information from installations, air traffic control etc.

  • Follow all the regulatory requirements for health, safety and environment within the department according to regulations and company policies.

  • Enters appropriate flight record data into the company nominated system.

  • Report any safety irregularity via the SQID reporting system.

  • Conduct briefings of flight crew to ensure all relevant information is provided.

  • Monitors ongoing operational status, dealing with and resolving issues as they arise.

  • Co-ordinates the communication of all relevant information between flight crews, dispatch, customer service etc.

  • Liaises closely with customers on all aspects of day to day flying operations eg, problems, delays etc.

  • Allocate passenger seats in conjunction with customer logistics departments.

  • Completes all necessary flight documentation and allocated to relevant parties.

    Team working skills

  • Extensive experience in all aspects of flight operations.

  • Ability to prioritise quickly and make effective decisions under pressure and on own initiative.

  • General numeracy/literacy skills.

  • Some experience/training in Emergency Response.

  • Demonstrable competence in the operation of the business and IT support systems used within the company which are relevant to the scope of the position.

  • Understanding of the ramp operations, CAA regs and company procedures., Radio Operators Licence preferred (Air to Ground)

  • Good IT Skills (Microsoft including word,excel and outlook)

  • Dangerous Good by Air Certificate, Aviation Operations: 1 year (required)

  • Radio Licence (preferred)

  • Dangerous Goods by Air Certificate (preferred)

    The position will require an initial period pf 6 - 10 weeks training Monday to Friday 0700hrs - 1530hrs, thereafter a shift roster of 4 days on 2 days off (2 Lates/2 Earlies/2 days off)
