Full Job Description

Initially the apprentice will work alongside a lead engineer, learning and developing in the field of security. This is a field based role. Though each day will be different the role will include the installation, maintenance and repair of fire and security systems.

You will be working on :

  • Access Control

  • Fire Alarms

  • Intruder alarms

  • CCTV


    • The training you will be getting

    Initially, the apprentice will work alongside experienced engineers, learning and developing in the field of security.

    The qualification you would be studying towards is the Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.

    Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at their Warrington Centre. You will attend centre one week every eight weeks.

    You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.

    Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Logical, GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4-9) Desired
    GCSE or equivalent English Language (Grade 4-9) Desired
