Full Job Description
The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of financial operations as the business goes through a rapid growth phase. The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant looking to make their mark in an exciting business with huge potential.
We are looking for a candidate who is enthusiastic, proactive and committed. You need to be highly organized, have strong financial skills and aspire to be a Finance Director within the company within 2-3 years. This is a fantastic opportunity to embark on an essential role in the growth of an exciting company.
Responsibilities include:
- Manage finance function, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, revenue recognition, transactional processes, and client payment functions
- Involvement with the budgets, forecasts and business plans
- Preparation of the monthly management accounts, delivering to Directors and Shareholders;
- Prepare and present business KPIs to management/shareholders
- Prepare cash flow forecasts for stakeholders and continually monitor the cash position
- Manage the financial systems, allowing for improvements when recognised;
- Responsible for all accounting procedures, policies and controls, ensuring they are in line with group requirements
- Oversee the monthly payroll, liaising with HR and the external payroll provider;
- Prepare the quarterly VAT
- Company secretarial duties
- Manage external relationships with the auditors, banks etc
Fully qualified accountant (ideally ACA or ACCA or equivalent) - Solid finance experience with great technical knowledge;
- Solid systems experience essential with Excel knowledge to advanced level.
- Good team player demonstrating strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with people at all levels.
- Hands-on, energetic, proactive, self-starter who is able to work to, and meet, tight deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, speed and accuracy is essential
- Sets a good example for the wider team to learn and develop from
- Experience gained within a media is preferable
- Strong communication skills to varying stakeholders, Accounting: 4 years (required)
- Accounting software: 1 year (required)
- Payroll: 1 year (preferred)
- Management: 1 year (preferred)
- Managerial accounting: 1 year (preferred)
- Competitive salary which is dependent on the skill sets and experience you have to date.
- Company phone, laptop and travel expenses are provided.
- This is a hybrid position which requires 1 weeks training at their London office with once biweekly office attendance thereafter as a minimum.
