Full Job Description

Are you a Finance Manager looking for the next step in your career? Are you accustomed to working closely with operational teams to produce reports and commercial KPI's? Do you enjoy engaging in customer meetings to help identify commercial efficiencies?, We're currently on the search for a Finance Manager to be located in Knowsley, Liverpool, working at our Matalan site. Our busy the Transport oOperation are looking for a Finance Manager to deliver clear and credible reporting, forecasting, and budgeting exercises, to shape and influence operational direction with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

This role is being offered as a temporary, 12-month FTC. The working hours for this role will be Monday-Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, with some flexibility required. This is logistics, after all!,

  • Ensure weekly accounts are generated within the required deadlines, understand any variance analysis and be able to articulate all variances to key stakeholders

  • Ensure that GXO month end is correctly reconciled, in line with all accounting standards and in line with the required deadline, including balance sheet reviews and journal authorisations

  • Working with the operations team, making sure that all tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner

    Proven experience in a fast-paced finance management role within a similar environment

  • Experienced in finding cost efficiencies and potential savings

  • Exposure to building strong business relationships with both internal and external customers

  • Ideally, fully CIMA or ACCA qualified, or actively studying towards

  • Experience of working with open / closed book contracts
