Full Job Description

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with UK GAAP or IFRS standards.

  • Management: Support a team of 2, one finance analyst and one accounting assistant.

  • Commercial Reporting: Implement and advise upon accounts receivable and accounts payable performance.

  • Month-end and Year-end Closing: Execute month-end and year-end closing processes, reconciling accounts, and ensuring all financial transactions are recorded appropriately.

  • Budget: Prepare event budgets with the support of the Finance Director on a timely basis.

  • General Ledger Management: Maintain the general ledger, posting journal entries, and ensuring proper documentation and support for all financial transactions.

  • Intercompany: Reconcile all intercompany payments between the relevant entities, and manage the process to comply with transfer pricing policies.

  • Variance Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of financial variances, investigating discrepancies and providing insights into financial performance.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards, staying updated on changes and implementing necessary adjustments.

  • Financial Audits: Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate smooth audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.

  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, working closely with relevant departments to gather accurate financial data.

  • Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations, liaising with tax authorities as needed.

  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance function, implementing changes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Ad-hoc Reporting: Generate ad-hoc financial reports and analyses as required by management, providing valuable insights for decision-making

  • Extensive knowledge of IFRS, GAAP & SOX

  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field

  • Professional Accounting Qualification (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) is highly desirable

  • Experience: 5 years +

  • Qualified accountant from practice or industry

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
