Full Job Description

Benenden School is seeking an experienced accountant to play a key role in overseeing the financial management of the school including preparing financial reports and maintaining the school's budgets and forecasts in line with the school's strategic objectives.

Successful applicants will hold a financial qualification and have strong technical and commercial knowledge within a similar sized organisation. The successful candidate will have advanced Excel skills. Experience of using the Charities SORP is highly desirable.

We welcome applications from candidates from a range of current roles, including from those looking to progress their careers or make a move into education.

Applicants should be hard working, flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities; be able to assist other roles within the team and step in to provide cover during absence or assist during busy periods.

The successful candidate will work full time all year round. Flexibility will be required.

Benenden is one of the leading day and boarding schools in the country. Founded in 1923, Benenden School is situated in 250 acres of attractive parkland in Kent, the Garden of England. There are 550 girls in the school, aged 11-18.
