Full Job Description

Prepare monthly management accounts pack. This includes all key financial statements (profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow), sales analysis and collation of business KPI's.

- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and preparation of budget reporting pack.

- Maintenance of fixed asset register and control account

- Assist Finance Controller with month-end duties, including (but not limited to) various balance sheet and sales reconciliations, payroll journals, prepayments.

- VAT returns.

- Ensure that internal controls are robust and in adherence to Marmon policies.

- Actively support internal and external audits.

- Assist with periodic customer, supplier, credit limit and fixed asset audits.

- Support the Finance Controller in the administration and completion of the yearly stock takes.

- Be proactive in making recommendations for procedural improvements.

- Any other ad hoc duties.

- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and tax filings

- Stay up-to-date with changes in financial regulations and legislation

Person / Techincal Specifications

A vacancy has arisen for a motivated individual who has experience and aptitude for the position of part-time Assistant Financial Controller. This position is offered initially on a temporary basis, however there is a strong possibility that this position may go permanent in the future., Knowledge of the non-ferrous manufacturing industry desirable

- Minimum 5 years proven experience in a similar role

- CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred

- Demonstrate proficiency's in Excel to advance level and competency in all T packages

- Proficient in financial management software

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
