Full Job Description

The role of Field Service Engineer is to provide product support, service, test and repair of the full range of ENVEA equipment across Customer sites nationwide. The role will require training customers in correct use and maintenance of their product and telephone support as necessary. Other duties may include feeding back knowledge and experience to support development of best practice within the Service department.

Responsibilities:

· Travel to customer's industrial sites to repair, commission, calibrate, service and fault finding

· Provide advice to customers to help them configure systems for their applications and diagnose on site problems

· Provide customers with up to date and accurate information on products and services available, including service contracts, extended warranties, calibration services and training

· Carry out functionality and system training at both customer sites

· Ensure full and accurate data entry into customer database and timely completion of Service Reports

· Offer feedback, through the Service Manager, regarding equipment issues and ideas to assist future product development of features and function

· Provide feedback to the sales team to promote future business opportunities

· Communicate with the Engineering teams to ensure lessons learnt from field problems are incorporated into future product iterations

Profile:

· Full training for this role will be provided through on the job training

· Experience in customer service/support and resolving problems to customer's satisfaction

· Electronics experience

· Field service experience would be a distinct advantage

· Use of IT for equipment test, and reports writing

· Use of standard test equipment. (Training provided)

· Good written and verbal communication skills required

· Must be able to climb vertical ladders up to 40m long multiple times in a working day utilising rest platforms and working in line with work at height regulations

· Must be able to "pull" loads of up to 20kg using manual strength, vertically using appropriate lifting equipment where applicable in line with health and safety guidelines

· Must have manual dexterity to handle small cable connectors, fixings, and tools

· Must have fluent spoken and written English and a full UK work permit

Qualifications:

· An apprenticeship or qualification to OND, HND standard in an electro-mechanical subject

· This role is based from our Redditch Office, Worcestershire· Travel is part of the core of role, and the candidate must be prepared and able to attend customer sites across the country. Some work may require overnight stays away from home, and on occasion this may be up to a week in duration. Very occasionally the opportunity to travel to international customers may be available
