Full Job Description
- To carry out garage equipment service, repair, calibration and installation work to specification and to the highest standard
- Ensure adherence to health and safety policies, company procedures and ensure that work practices comply with relevant codes and quality standards
- Participation in training as required including technical product training
- Escalate technical queries to line manager and 'in-house' technical team as necessary
The role is mobile, principally within Cardiff and the surrounding areas and it involves a fluctuating workload, carrying out servicing, (new) installations and the repair of a range of garage equipment including lifts, brake testers and tyre bays. - Relevant technical background, ideally with competence across a range of garage equipment, ideally with recognised qualifications
- Or, transferable skills in Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineering
- Basic IT skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to deal with customers and colleagues in a friendly and professional manner
- A "can-do" logical approach
- Valid driving licence, Candidates with the experience or relevant job titles of; Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Garage Equipment technician, Field Service Technician, Service Technician, Garage Engineering Technician, Field Maintenance Engineer, Field Maintenance Technician, Mechanical Engineer, Mechanical Technician, Electrical Engineer, Electrical Technician, Repair Engineer, Repair Technician, Fitter, White Goods Installer, Commercial Engineer, Trainee fitter, Trainee Mechanic, Technical Trainee will also be considered for this role.

Whilst experience is preferred, ideally from within the garage equipment industry, Tecalemit welcomes applications from people with good practical experience in any type of electro mechanical work.
Typical backgrounds might include people who have worked as garage technicians, MOT testers, white goods installers / engineers, FMCG service technicians, or anyone who has completed a relevant academic qualification in an electrical/mechanical field.,
