Full Job Description

As a Field Care Supervisor, you'll work with the Nurse Manager who will support you to oversee the care of a small caseload of clients with diverse complex care needs, who require interventions like ventilation, gastrostomy, and bowel management.

Your responsibilities will include inducting Care Assistants and Support Workers into their care packages, ensuring they possess the necessary clinical skills and receive relevant training to meet clients' needs.

You'll work 37.5 hours per week, including two hands-on clinical shifts structured around your client's requirements.

Ultimately, your role as a Field Care Supervisor aims to guarantee that clients receive exceptional service from a well-trained, enthusiastic and compassionate team.,

  • Collaborate with the Nurse Manager for seamless setup and transition of new care packages.

  • Participate in selecting support workers to assemble a competent client care team.

  • Maintain regular shifts within your caseload to uphold familiarity with each client's requirements, providing consistent and personalised care per their care plan.

  • Work with the Nurse Manager to review and update clients' care plans.

  • Work with the Coordination Team to maintain 100% coverage of clients' care packages, organising solutions for absence cover and clinically supporting clients' out-of-hours if cover cannot be sought.

  • Identify and communicate upcoming staffing gaps, engage in recruitment, and introduce new hires to clients.

  • Mentor support workers, conduct observations and identify training needs.

  • Maintain timely and accurate records of care and supervisory activities.

  • Monitor client satisfaction, escalate concerns, and produce monthly reports for effective service management.

  • Act in the best interest of clients, promptly reporting safety and welfare concerns, in line with safeguarding policies and procedures.

  • £31,500 per annum based on working 37.5 hours per week.
