Full Job Description

This role will work as part of the Support Fenland team to develop the 'Communities' stream of the work. The role will be responsible for developing networks and relationships across the district, with the 'Love it, Hate it, Shape It' project feature at the heart of this role. This role will be about community development, led by those within the community and supported by this role.

  • You will be a Fenland resident with a keen interest in your community.

  • You will have a curiosity and drive to build relationships and develop networks between communities.

  • You will have a flair for encouraging neighbourhoods and individuals to build on their ideas.

  • You will be happy to talk to anyone and listen to what they have to say, suggesting options and support.

  • You will be happy to travel across Fenland to visit groups and hold events/networking sessions.

The Support Cambridgeshire partnership brings together CCVS (Cambridge Council for Voluntary Service) and Hunts Forum to help communities thrive. They work together to support local groups and people in various ways, such as providing advice, training, and resources. The Support Cambridgeshire brand started with a Countywide contract to offer countywide free services across Cambridgeshire. Both staff teams work very closely together and there is an expectation that Support Fenland will be no different. By teaming up, they make sure everyone's voice is heard and that community projects get the help they need. CCVS and Hunts Forum join forces to make a positive difference and strengthen connections in the Cambridgeshire area.
