Full Job Description

  • Trimming loose threads around Binding and insoles of Pointe shoes.

  • Scraping excess paste out of the shoe and around the insole.

  • Covering gaps with the correct sock linings.

  • Gluing in Sock liners to create the finished Pointe shoe.

  • Work with small hand tools such as embroidery scissors, knives and hammers.


    • This will include the following:
  • Following instructions and learning each stage of the Socking process.

  • Working with small hand tools such as embroidery scissors, knives and hammers.

  • Working with glue and brushes.

  • Reporting to Checkers and/or supervisors of any obvious faults.

  • Standing at your own workstation Socking ballet pointe shoes.

  • Working in a fast paced environment, hitting targets.

    We are looking for someone who is dependable, has an eye for detail and has a good work ethic.


    • No previous experience is necessary as all training is provided.,
  • Basic literacy skills

  • Excellent manual/practical skills

  • Organisational skills

  • Pro-active and enthusiastic

  • Willing to learn

  • Good attendance
