Full Job Description

  • Works include the fabrication and welding of medium to heavy structural steel and pipework in the sectors listed below.

    Working experience of working Time served plater / welders / fabricators with medium to heavy fabrication with a minimum of 5 years' experience.

  • Be able to read and understand fabrication and client drawings

  • Experience in Mig welding to coded standard BS EN ISO 9606-1 with Tig and MMA an advantage but not essential.

  • Be able to work to execution class 2 standard BSEN 1090-2

  • Previous experience with overhead cranes, slinging and signalling.

  • Previous experience with counter balance fork truck.

  • Weld test required at interview stage.

  • Milestone is a Leicestershire-based contractor offering civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, plus in-house steel fabrication and installation work across the UK.     Since our establishment in 2004, we have worked with leading industry names such as Ericsson, JCDecaux, Mitie, Cellnex Arqiva, Vodafone, EE and MBNL. We have delivered sites for the public and private sectors, including British Antarctic Survey, BBC Glasgow and multiple English universities. Health, safety and quality is at the heart of what we do. As such, we are accredited to ISO standard, BS1090 ex2, NICEIC, CITB, RISQS and Safe Contractor approved. Our teams consist of highly skilled, multi-discipline, in-house delivery crews maintained by an office-based planning, logistical and support function.

    Our workshops are open from 6am - 5pm with overtime paid after 40 hours per week. Overtime paid at time and a third in the week and time and a half at weekends. With plenty of overtime available including weekend working.,
