Full Job Description

We are a hybrid employer that offers both office-based and remote work options for a full-time assistant position reporting to a team leader. The role involves playing a crucial part in improving the lives of our customers and the general public in Somerset by processing financial transactions according to established practices and authorisation processes, serving as a local point of contact for administrative and financial inquiries, providing advice and guidance to staff, suppliers, and customers, and contributing to, proposing, and implementing solutions to a wide range of financial systems, procedures, and reporting problems.
Experience of working in a finance environment and dealing with accounting, business process and statutory reporting issues.

  • Experience of providing advice and support to others. Knowledge of regulations as they affect local authorities (e.g. VAT). Knowledge of financial information systems such as SAP. Sound IT skills. Good understanding of excel including more complex formula and functionality

    PAYE Rate : £13.43 ph (Basic Rate £11.98 + 12.07% holiday pay) + exclusive retention bonus of upto £1000.00 per year if employed via Omega Recruitment Agency
