Full Job Description

Our exam facilitation company is currently looking to expand our team of invigilators, we are seeking diligent and responsible individuals to join on an ad-hoc basis for various professional exams at different times throughout the year.

As an exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of examinations and ensuring a fair testing environment for all candidates.

TEAMCo invigilate professional exams, where candidates use a laptop / monitor, prior to the exam you will be required to assist with setting up the exam room/s. The examination day will involve setting up the power in the room, as well as connecting and testing the laptops that will be used. For this reason, IT skills would be a distinct advantage, but training will be given. You will also need to be comfortable moving and lifting boxes (manual handling), connecting electrical power from floor level up to table level, and packing down at the end of the examinations.

You will join a dedicated team that will guide you through the role and provide support where needed.

The role would suit those with an interest in and/or knowledge of education and an understanding of the examination environment. However, previous experience is not essential as full training will be provided. Good communication skills, an observant eye and attention to detail are essential. You will need to have a calm nature and work effectively, both individually and as part of the wider team to help supervise the conduct of the candidates and ensure the smooth running of the examinations. We work within government, venue and examination board guidelines for all the exams.

Responsibilities:
- Set up examination rooms according to specified guidelines
- Verify the identity of candidates and distribute exam materials
- Monitor candidates during the examination to prevent cheating or misconduct
- Answer candidate queries related to the examination process
- Collect and secure exam materials upon completion
- Report any irregularities or violations during the exam session

GCSE or equivalent (required)

- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict procedures
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Reliable and punctual with a professional demeanour

Experience:

- Customer service: 2 years (required)

- IT skills: To be able to change profiles / desktop background / check for wi-fi connection issues & solve (preferred)

- Manual handling (preferred)
