Full Job Description

As an Estimating Engineer you will provide high quality estimating and proposal services to the business.,

  • Be conversant with technical design and installation documents such as drawings, specifications, and standards, relevant to E&I systems.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of technical aspect of bids and an understanding of the scope of works.

  • Prepare/review MTO's. Source specialist services and vendors, if required and assist procurement with third party Requests For Quotations. Carry out technical and commercial evaluation of vendor quotations to ensure compliance.

  • Prepare and review tendering documentation including quotation, programme, project execution plans, project risk register and contingency analysis.

  • Prepare and review project cost estimates for internal design and installation labour, materials and third-party vendors and specialist contractors

  • Liaise with internal Technica proposals and engineering teams regarding commercial & contractual issues/queries.

  • Ensure activities are carried out in line with company standards as documented in the Quality Management System.

    Good experience (+ 3 years) of estimating and producing tender documentation.

  • Good knowledge of EC&I design and installation projects.

  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, facilitation, negotiation, and communication skills (written and oral).

  • Good use of Microsoft suite of applications (word, excel etc.)

  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.

    Salary: Negotiable, depending on experience
