ESS Cell Validation Engineer

The battery team is one of the fastest growing teams in the JLR business with main focus to respond to the increasing mix of BEV vehicles in our cycle plan. We are looking for a Cell Validation Engineers to join the Battery Systems Advanced Concepts & Research Pillar, reporting to the Pillar Head. The Test and Validation Chapter will be responsible for implementing Test and Validation solutions to meet component functional targets.,

• Develop the Test and Validation part of the BEV battery technology roadmaps to support JLRs electrification transition.


• Consolidate and create benchmark material from device to vehicle that maximises our understanding of our competitors and the current / latest technology landscape being deployed.


• Work alongside our Engineering Operations team to ensure we have the right Test and Validation in place to execute the technology roadmap.


• Work alongside key business stakeholders to ensure we meet our vehicle product needs.


• Develop and cascade a technology roadmap that takes us to the next generation of battery technologies such as solid state and Test and Validation-to-car / module-to-car concepts.
  
  Experience of the multi-physics nature of Test and Validation and battery design and integration.


• Experience within the competitor Test and Validation and battery manufacturing industry.


• An ability to communicate a technical concept and strategy vision to the wider vehicle and Power Train electrification teams in order to drive toward a single optimised roadmap.


• Ability to help build and lead a winning team in the field of Test and Validation / battery pack future strategies and research.



• Knowledge of the BEV Test and Validation and battery landscape across the worldwide supply base or other OEM manufacturers to allow credible and competitive concepts and strategies to be followed.
