Full Job Description

Riding is possible for a suitably capable jockey. General duties will include:

  • Lunging

  • Feeding

  • Grooming

  • Mucking Out

  • Turning out, All training will be provided on site during your paid working hours. Your day to day mentoring will be with your employer, and a combination of online and in person monthly sessions will be held with your Haddon Training Trainer Coach.

    Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience, Physical fitness, GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4) Desired

  • GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade 4) Desired, Must have previous experience with large horses. Livery for own horse is available but unfortunately no accommodation is available. Candidate must be honest and self motivated to work to a high standard in industry time. A cheerful person who has a true love for horses and is willing to offer them the best of care at all times. You must be a UK resident or have lived in the EU for 3 years or more.

    Emma Forsyth is a former 5 star event rider and UKCCL3 Coach with BE and also a List 4 BD Judge. She is based in Warwickshire CV35.

    You could reduce your training time, or finish your apprenticeship faster, if you have relevant prior learning or experience. This could be relevant:
