Full Job Description

ASG Epos Solutions Limited are looking for their next EPOS Support Technician Apprentice to join their growing team., Working alongside a current support technician you will;

  • Unpack and configure EPOS Terminal hardware and connect peripherals.

  • Configure OS and install relevant OS Updates and drivers.

  • Setup Active hours for Update installation.

  • Install remote support software application and configure.

  • Install Standard POS Application.

  • Install correct template for Market Sector.

  • Configure firewall settings.

  • Connect terminal to customers cloud based back-office account.

  • Data entry of customers products.

  • Install and configure EFT application software.

  • Once a sufficient level of competence and experience has been achieved you will be required to attend a training course on the Isle of Wight for 3 days to be certified as a competent support technician for the POS software.


  • As the role develops you will also be responsible for tasks as below.
  • First line telephone and remote support

  • Occasional on-site visits alongside and installation technician to assist with network infrastructure installation.

  • Setup and configuration via online portal of UniFi Wi-Fi Access points

  • Assist on-site with Wi-Fi access point installation.

  • Configure CCTV systems for remote access.

  • Assist on-site with CCTV installation (cabling camera mounting configuration etc.).

    Five GCSE's at Grade 4(C) or above including English and Maths or equivalent.


  • Initially a driving licence will not be required, but the successful applicant will be required to obtain a full driver's licence as their role develops.

    Predicted grades will be accepted.

    To be eligible for this apprenticeship, you must meet the following residency criteria: You must have lived in the UK, the British Overseas Territories, or Crown Dependencies (Channel Islands and Isle of Man) for at least three years prior to the start of the apprenticeship.
