Full Job Description

We are looking for a positive, approachable and enthusiastic team player with good interpersonal skills to join our multi-disciplinary environmental enforcement team.

Duties include investigating environmental crime such as fly-tipping, abandoned vehicles and other anti-social behavioural issues; gathering evidence, interviewing people, responding to customer concerns and taking appropriate action in order to achieve the desired outcome.

The successful applicant will have a background knowledge in environmental legislation; be able to communicate effectively with members of the public and to manage potentially confrontational situations.

Applicants must have a full, valid driving licence, GCSE level at grade C or above or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths and be computer literate. They must be totally committed to customer care and be able to deal with the public diplomatically in difficult situations without being intimidated., The ability to communicate and understand written and verbal instructions is essential in this post., Disability Confident
