Engineering Level 3 Technical Support Technician apprentice - Test Team IXYS UK WESTCODE LTD.

Technical support technician. Duties will be as follows.

• Testing and characterisation of power semiconductor devices


• Building test circuits for power semiconductors


• Testing power electronic assemblies


• Reliability testing of power semiconductor device, Training given at Wilson Tools during daily role as well as attending taught sessions at New College Swindon
  
  After a period of foundation skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:


• Level 2 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Foundation Competence)


After a further period of skills and technical knowledge development all apprentices will be required to achieve the following qualifications:

• Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Competence) - Technical Suppor


• Level 3 Diploma or Extended Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering (Development Knowledge) - for all starts from 1st July 2017, Communication skills, IT skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Problem solving skills, Number skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, GCSE or equivalent Maths, English and Science (Grade 9-4 or A-C) Essential
