Full Job Description

This role will be responsible for overseeing the engineering stores, working closely with suppliers and ensuring smooth delivery of all parts and components in a timely fashion. This role will assist the maintenance team in the delivery of a world class engineering environment ensuring the site score card measures are achieved and supporting the team in the engineering strategy., 1. Effective day to day management of engineering stores always ensuring parts availability.
2. Overseeing and development of stores, inventory, logistics and planning.
3. Purchase stock control and spares management.
4. Implementing process improvements and overhaul of all systems and procedures.
5. Liaising with suppliers, contractors, and engineering team.
6. Ensure that all contracts are in place and managed correctly.
7. Ensure contractual agreements are met.
8. Be proficient with the stores operating management systems in place within the stores facility and to deal with any issues that may arise.
9. Monitor and promote health and safety within the site operation, always ensuring adherence to Health & Safety Policy.
10. To provide ad hoc cover at your site as required.
11. To lead by example and provide hands on support for the sites as required.
12. Manage the engineering stock holding delivering a year-on-year reduction in costs.
13. Produce reports for the site engineering team.

1. An in-depth understanding of engineering stores processes and procedures.
2. A robust stock management background, with the ability to identify challenges, resolve quickly, and implement continuous improvement programmes.
3. Ability to manage site workflows, setting individual tasks and ensuring completion within given set time frames.
4. Ability to develop and deliver continuous improvement initiatives so that assigned projects or improvements can be realised.
5. Experience of managing external suppliers and OEM's.
6. Coming from a mechanical/electrical/manufacturing background is essential.
7. SAP experience is essential.
