Electronics Test Engineer

We're looking for someone with either a degree in an electronics/ technological subject and/ or experience in electronic circuit and product testing down to component level. An interest in audio would be an advantage but we can teach you the prerequisite audio parameters required from some of our other highly experienced audio Test Engineers. Experience in product testing from any industry is a more important requirement.

Glensound design and manufacture audio broadcast equipment. All product manufacturing and design is done in our own factory in Brooks Place, Maidstone where our experienced team of 30+ people respond successfully to the challenge of manufacturing in the UK. Our products are world leaders in the area of sports/eSports commentary and theatre/live events.

For a Test Engineer we need someone who can understand and diagnose electronics down to component level, working from schematics, and demonstrate good intuition in fault finding. Glensound designs are mainly based on compact surface mounted pcbs with microprocessors and DSPs, so the understanding of how firmware interacts with hardware is important when testing.

Production runs are generally in the range of 6 to 200 so there is normally a variety of products to test. Our test engineers sometimes get involved in final assembly alongside the other manufacturing team.

£25,000 - £34,000 a year - Permanent, Full-time, Working hours are Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:30. A separate earlier start shift pattern may also be available.

Pay is subject to experience.
