Full Job Description

  • Hours of work: Start & end times may be modified due to mission needs and in accordance with organization's flexible

  • working policies.

    1. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast and depth. A pre-employment physical is
    required for this position.

    2. May work with hazardous materials such as asbestos or accumulated waste. Employee will be
    required to wear protective clothing and gear on these occasions.

    3. Emergency overtime work may be required.

    4. A valid Cat B drivers licence is required.,

    Must possess a City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 Award in an appropriate discipline, which must be submitted with the application form

  • in order to verify qualifications. Must possess BS 7671 18th Edition Regulation which must be submitted with the application form in
    order to verify qualifications.

    Knowledge of safety regulations, practices and procedures.

    Knowledge of technical practices in order to plan, layout, install, modify, troubleshoot, and repair and inspect and test a variety of
    complete systems.

    Knowledge of electrical and electronic theory and instruments used in shop and trade practices, and of electrical equipment.

    Skill in using and maintaining hand tools.

    Skill in troubleshooting and tracing hard-to-locate defects or problems.

    Ability to use electrical drawings, blueprints, engineering drawings, and wiring diagrams and to install, troubleshoot, repair, and
    maintain various electrical systems, controls, and equipment without more than normal supervision.

  • Main Purpose

    We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join a premier team of
    Electricians at the 100th Civil Engineering Squadron, Royal Air Force Mildenhall, United Kingdom.

    The primary purpose of this position is to install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain various electrical
    systems, controls, and equipment base wide plus initial and periodic Electrical Inspection, Testing,
    and Certification within domestic, industrial and hazardous area installations including Lighting
    Protection and associated infrastructure within the squadron.

    Position is on a fixed schedule. 08.00-16.00 Monday and Friday 1st week; then 08.00-16.00 Tuesday,
    Wednesday & Thursday 2nd week., 5.Position is on a fixed schedule. 08.00-16.00 Monday and Friday 1st week; then 08.00-16.00
    Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 2nd week.,
