Full Job Description

Responsible for the performance of Equans engineers / sub-contractors and maintaining Equans and industry standards within the Stoke Schools PFI contract. To provide advice, guidance and support to both client and engineering teams to ensure appropriate and compliant solutions and efficient customer service delivery.,

  • Responsible for the day-to-day organisation of the engineering staff in order to meet the contractual agreement

  • Assist in the preparation of emergency and contingency plans

  • Maintain records appertaining to the PPM schedule, ensuring the estate remains statutory compliant

  • Oversee all contract activities, both maintenance, reactive and projects and ensure all safety aspects are managed and monitored in accordance with site procedures and requirements

  • Undertake tasks associated with staff during peak workloads and provide holiday and sickness cover

  • Staff supervision including all full-time, part-time, sub-contractors and specialist providers

  • Take ownership of the client's needs and pursue effective communications with the customer in order to build a stable relationship

  • Be proactive with regard to preventative maintenance and extra works

  • Be available to attend or manage emergency call-outs and provide written incident reports as required

  • Be responsible for managing work force activity, monitor and report on the efficiencies of the engineering team

  • Arrange toolbox talks / Attend Site visits / van checks / audits/ site safety checks

  • Organisational skills and ability to prioritise workloads to ensure deadlines are met

  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems

  • Have and understanding of CAFM (Maximo)

  • Manage the out of hours cover for Stoke Schools in accordance with roster

  • Flexible working hours required

  • Ability to work under pressure, take ownership of problems through to satisfactory conclusion

    This position requires an individual with good people, communication and organisational skills, as well someone who is able to manage priorities and deadlines, along with good time management., Time served (C&G) Electrical qualifications

  • C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection & Testing qualification

  • Good working knowledge of building Fabric

  • Health & Safety knowledge and experience within occupied premises

  • Good communication skills

  • IOSH

  • IPAF / PASMA Qualification (desirable)

  • Good IT skills


  • This role includes a DBS Enhanced check therefore ability to pass is essential.
