Full Job Description

What is the overall job?Located at Peterborough City Hospital, the emergency lighting engineer will report to the electrical supervisor / services manager and manages emergency lighting maintenance, acting as the main point of contact for any emergency lighting issues.

Other key responsibilities will include :

  • To carry out company works as required to desired standards

  • Servicing of communal, emergency, and external lighting

  • Carry out reactive repairs on all emergency lighting systems

  • Carry out monthly PPMs on all emergency lighting systems

  • Compiling an updated asset register and drawings of a full emergency and standard light fittings

  • To work effectively with and support the emergency lighting labourer

  • Ensure all Multiplex personnel and contractors comply with Health and Safety requirements whilst on siteWhat do I need to be successful in this role?

    Strong communication and organisation skills

  • Extensive experience working as an electrical craftsperson / engineer

  • Technical knowledge across the electrical industry, particularly a deep understanding of emergency lighting systems

  • Experience working in the health sector would be advantageous

  • IT skills including Microsoft office applications.

  • Must hold full UK driving license
