Full Job Description

  • You will be responsible for management of an effective electrical maintenance programme supporting all aspects of production on and offsite to measured KPI targets, to ensure continuous reliable and efficient operation including:

  • You will plant for maintenance and inspection as required by executing physical isolations (up to limit of job holders authority) and LV/HV electrical isolations. Responsible for testing and being present at re-starting equipment once maintenance is completed.

  • You will ensure all mandatory work is properly scheduled, planned for and carried out on time.

  • Also, you will resolve plant problems by rectifying defects and identifying opportunities that will enhance plant reliability. as contractor co-ordinator for externally sourced electrical resource.

  • You will assist with the preparation of Permits to Work, incorporating contractors' method statements and risk assessments.

  • Additionally, you will exhibit the highest standards in visible SHEQ leadership; to ensure SHEQ activities and standards are embedded in the line

  • You will be responsible for the line management, deployment, welfare and development of direct reports ensuring their competence to maintain the plants

  • And lastly, you will co-ordinate with the Central Engineering and Reliability resources as well as third party service providers to achieve the required objectives.

    You have appreciation of Health and Safety at Work Act, COMAH regulations and BOC in-house safety policies and procedures. BOC Operations and Engineering Standards, the SAP maintenance, purchasing and reporting system

  • You have recognised apprenticeship, ONC, HNC or degree in an Engineering discipline (preference being towards Electrical).

  • Also, you have experience of working in a process plant environment in a position of some responsibility.

  • You have detailed knowledge and understanding of BOC, industry and statutory standards and codes of practice.

  • You also have detailed knowledge Permit to Work procedures

  • Furthermore, if you have completed an 18th Edition, S4 High Voltage or CompEx Inspection & Installation Course this would also be an advantage but is not essential

  • And lastly, you have high level of personal integrity
