Full Job Description

We are looking for a multi-skilled Electrical Engineer & Jointer to become part of our Field Delivery Team. This is an exciting opportunity for a high-calibre individual to join and strengthen our team. Working on a wide range of electrical infrastructure and ICP (Independent Connection Provider) projects.

As well as delivering electrical contracting solutions, you will be assisting in the installation of mains connections to the electrical power network, including new utility connections , cable laying, pulling and substation installations.

Daily rate: £160 - £190

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Interpreting Technical Drawings, Risk Assessments and Method Statements and complete installation to DNO design standards and the BS761 18th Edition wiring regulations, including relevant guidance note directives.

  • Follow written and verbal procedures to deliver quality workmanship in accordance with the company's health and safety and compliance standards.

  • Responsibility for all aspects of Safety, Health and Environment relevant to this role.

  • Ability to follow set project plans and complete the works within set and agreed timeframes.

  • Provide clear and concise feedback to the Project Manager and office regarding out comes of works.

  • Continuously work towards providing the best possible task outcomes for client satisfaction.

  • Support the business management agenda on Health, Safety and Quality monitoring.

  • Ensure all activities on Site are completed in a safe and efficient manner.

  • Maintain and upkeep all CPD training portfolio items.

    City & Guilds - Electrical Installations - Level 2, Level 3 or Electrical Power Engineering (2304)

  • First Aid trained

  • ECS, CSCS or EUSR trained

  • EUS LV1, LV2 and LV3 Service and Mains Joining or a DNO equivalent

  • A competent level of English for written and spoken communication required to relay important information safety and effectively to team members and clients

  • Candidate must be eligible to live and work in the UK


  • Other requirements:
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulation certified (Desirable)

  • City & Guilds - Initial and Periodic Electrical Inspection and Testing 2391 (Desirable)

  • PASMA or IPAF Licence (Desirable)

  • UKPN substation entry, LV and HV competencies (Desirable)

  • Full Clean Driving Licence

  • Computer / Tablet Literate

  • Provide an expected Minimum required toolkit


  • A company issued uniform and PPE will be issued and will be expected to be worn. You will also be required to uphold a valid DBS certificate.,
  • Electrical Engineering: 3 years (required)
