Ecommerce Trading Manager

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented Ecommerce Trading Manager to join the Digital team at Primark. As an Ecommerce Trading Manager at Primark, you will play a key role in driving the growth and delivery of our Click + Collect trading strategy. You will work closely the Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager to help drive growth in Click + Collect sales. You will also collaborate cross-functionally, helping to support the digital merchandising activities, marketing activities and logistical operations to help provide the best possible customer experience whilst seeking to minimise costs to the business. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced, tenacious, and innovative environment.

As Ecommerce Trading Manager, you will be responsible for the effective management of all Click + Collect stock. You will ensure strong availability on a wide range of products, whilst closely monitoring and managing stockholding. Utilising your commercial acumen and critical influencing skills, you will be a key contributor within the wider Digital Team but also within the wider business., In your role, you'll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here's a flavour of your day-to-day:

• Displays a strong level of commercial awareness within the Ecommerce trading team (and broader digital team); analyses and react to patterns, trade in the retail business and changes in the market.


• Responsible for the development of junior members of the Ecommerce trading team in analysing digital performance data to plan and manage budgets and resources to maximise Click + Collect sales.


• Shows confident and accurate use of analysis tools and reporting sources.


• Makes positive trading decisions based on a wide range of data; across digital sales, retail info, and web analysis metrics…

+ Conducts regular trading reviews to maximise sales and manage stock levels.
+ Identifies over and under performance in current trading patterns, and takes steps to minimise forward risk and maximise future opportunities.
+ Reports on actuals versus Plan across key KPIs and helps ensure senior leaders understand performance.

• Collaborate with BMD teams to guide the onward development of Click + Collect ranges to ensure learnings are carried forward and future ranges are optimised in line with demand.


• Support the Senior Ecommerce Trading Manager in building, managing and mentoring a high performing team focused on delivering the Click + Collect strategy across departments. Generates enthusiasm and commitment within the team and across Primark.
  
  4+ years of experience in an Ecommerce or Fashion Merchandising role.


• Relevant qualification in a fashion-related or commerce-related subject, or equivalent experience.


• Demonstrated experience in the implementation and execution of Merchandising strategies and plans.


• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively coach, guide and mentor while ensuring the team achieves its goals.


• Demonstrated experience creating effective relationships across the business, with prior experience of relationship management at all levels.
