Full Job Description

There is a requirement for you to be able to drive, and have access to your own vehicle for business use. Additionally, if successful, we would require you to carry out MIDAS training in order to drive our minibus fleet to collect donations (Portland College will pay for this training)., This is a permanent position, and you will work 15 hours per week.

There will be expectation to be flexible to work occasional evenings and weekends, where required.

Do you have experience in retail, or are you passionate sales person? Are you someone who wants to make a difference to the lives of people living in your local community? This could be the role for you., There is no need for any specific qualifications above Maths and English Level 2. However, qualifications (and experience) relevant to retail and customer services will be looked upon favourably.

Over the last few years', our fundraising has grown and developed. The team has doubled in size, and fundraising activities have diversified. Continuing to identify new ways of generating much needed income for the organisation, we have recognised a new opportunity, and are in a position to recruit once more.

You will be expected to process donations, from our corporate and individual supporters, to maximise their impact. You will work with our internal departments to understand how best to distribute these donated items across the organisation. We need you to develop a robust sales strategy, that provides equal opportunity for all our staff, volunteers and external customers. At the end of it all, you will need to manage our "pop-up-shops" and "sales brochures" to generate income for the organisation.
