Domestic Cleaner

Purpose of the role: To support the team maintain appropriate infection control levels in the clinical and admin setting by carrying out daily cleaning tasks.

The role will be based at local charity "Loaves & Fishes" where the team run a variety of daily clinics for patients.

• Typical expected duties as a cleaner - for example - mopping, dusting, hoovering, tidying etc - ensuring the correct cleaning materials are used.


• Completion of daily cleaning and COSH records.


• Stock take of cleaning products.


• Reporting to line manager.


Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.

Employees must at all times have regards for the need to safeguard, inclusive of Modern day Slavery and Human Trafficking and promote the welfare of children and adults at risk in line with legislation. Employees of SPCT must follow all safeguarding policies and procedures and reporting mechanisms to raise safeguarding concerns and keep up to date with safeguarding training as required.

• You must take reasonable care of your own health, safety and wellbeing, and that of your colleagues, in accordance with the Health and Safety policy.


• You are required to uphold the confidentiality of all records held by SPCT, whether they are patient records, employee records or management information.


• Comply with all SPCT policies and procedures, identifying improvements where appropriate


Given that this is a clinical environment - it would be of great help if you have an understanding of the how to sanitise areas to reduce infection control risk - although full training will be given.

Ideally we are seeking a worker Monday to Friday for 2 hours per day - the site is only open 8am to 4pm but given this we would be looking for people to work either at the start or end of the day.

You do not need to have previous cleaning experience, as part of our social inclusion policy we actively encourage applicants with little experience or a lack of work history.
