Dog Walker and Pet Sitter

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual willing to work through all weathers throughout the year as a dog walker.

Being a dog walker is a fantastic opportunity to work with some of the animals you love and can be great fun!

This job is physically demanding. You may be responsible for 4 dogs at one time and must be able to think on your feet in any situation.

We deal with many dogs that can have some behavioural issues; therefore, the candidate must be confident and comfortable to work with any types and breed of dog from Leonberger's to Maltipoos!

The successful candidate will be required to have their own transportation (suitable to transport up to 4 dogs) to use for their job role.

Vehicle business insurance that allows you to transport animals is required (you will be asked for proof). As a business we will provide equipment for the vehicle (Seat covers, seat belts, towels and crates). Plus, some expenses are covered by CVDW.

There may be the opportunity for you to become insured on out vehicle depending on your age and driving history.

This job opportunity is currently ad hoc with the potential to become part time permanent in the future. Additionally, full-time hours will be available to cover holiday and/or sick leave.

• Dog walking certification


• Pet first aid training


• Basic knowledge of canine behaviour


Training can be provided to the right person.

Required licences or certifications:

• DBS Check (cost met by employer)


• Full UK Driving License, Confidence with all dog breeds


• Previous experience working with canine companions, Canine Behaviour: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

• Dog Walking Certification (preferred)


• Pet First Aid Certificate (preferred)
  
  Salary: £14.00 per hour (during walks) + Mileage at £0.45 PPM, Casual dress
