Dispensing Optician

Alongside being a qualified and GOC registered Dispensing Optician, we are searching for someone who shares our store's ethos. Someone who wants to grow, develop, and offer exceptional customer care along the way. We want a practitioner who prides themselves on their clinical judgment, that isn't afraid of a hands-on approach and who is keen to get involved and build rapport with the rest of the team. In summary, we're looking for a skilled Dispensing Optician to join us, be part of the team and assist in driving our practice forward. Specsavers in Margate are looking for a driven Dispensing Optician to join their highly successful and well-established team on a full or part time basis. The focus at this store is about pulling together and working as a team to ensure that our valued patients have an excellent experience.

Margate opened in 1993 and relocated to the Sainsbury's store they are in now in 2019. You will be joining an experienced and supportive team of 17, including fully trained Optical Assistants, Dispensing Opticians and a Contact Lens Optician meaning everyone is in place to let you focus on what you do best. The store has 5 test rooms and is fully equipped with the latest clinical technology and equipment.

Dispensing Opticians are the face of the clinic on the shop floor and usually an integral part of the store management team, so Ramsgate are keen to get you up to speed with management responsibilities. With ILM courses, pre-reg supervision and the opportunity to own your own Specsavers business, the store directors can guide you on your way to becoming a great leader. This, along with your clinical expertise will stand you in good stead if you choose to become a store director yourself one day.

Margate is a timeless English seaside town on the Kent coast that is known for its sandy beaches and out-of-this-world sunsets. Our store is conveniently located in Westwood Cross Sainsbury's which has great links to the motorway as well as free parking, there are also direct high-speed trains from London St Pancras International which takes 1 hour 24 minutes.
