Full Job Description

0-5 hours / month Directors are required to attend quarterly Board meetings. All other requirements are ad-hoc and can be fulfilled remotely., For over twenty years Lifeskills has been supporting children and people with learning disabilities, to live safer, healthier and more independent lives. Our unique facility allows us to deliver safety education using interactive, hands-on activities.

Role of the HR Director

To ensure highest standards of governance relating to employee relations, recruitment, retention, reward and recognition as well as staff training and development.

Advising the charity in respect of HR matters and ensuring that the charity follows best practice and all regulatory/legal requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure compliance with the charity's governing documents, relevant laws, and HR best practices.

- Provide strategic oversight of HR functions including recruitment, staff development, retention, and performance management.

- Support and advise the board on HR issues and work closely with the Centre Manager to align HR strategies with the organisation's mission and goals.

- Facilitate the development and revision of HR policies and procedures.

- Guide the Centre Manager and Board of Directors in implementing effective HR systems that enhance the organisational culture and work environment.

- Play a role in the strategic planning and execution of organisational change and development., Please provide a cover letter detailing why you are interested in this role and your relevant experience.   • Existing Trustee experience is desirable but not essential.

  • Having an interest in our cause is crucial for all Directors.
