Full Job Description

The Director will play a critical role in a 160/90 team working for a major client on their Global Partnerships portfolio. You will be working with an international business, operating in multiple markets.
This role will lead the Golf portfolio globally from a PR and Communications perspective and work with the other portfolio leads across Formula 1 and Cricket and a number of other regionally focussed properties. The Director will form part of the PR and Communications function across the client account and work collaboratively within an integrated client team including Partnerships, Operations, Creative and Strategy and that spans 160over90's globally.
Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To

  • Work collaboratively with the global Director of Communications and PR on a Communications programme and development for sports partnership initiatives and implementation across multiple territories working in conjunction with counterparts in the London team and globally.

  • Develop master partnership positioning and narrative with specific variations for consumer-facing campaigns

  • Collaborate with client's agency network to provide a seamless and integrated communications strategy that brings the golf partnerships portfolio to life in traditional and digital media

  • Build and maintain strong relationships and regular dialogue with relevant rights holders, ambassadors and key stakeholders across the clients' golf partnership portfolio

  • Develop activation platforms, content strategies and media amplification plans to leverage available assets strategically whilst delivering a client-focused solution

  • Ideate and oversee the creation of consumer-facing content including sourcing and management of best-in-class specialist third party suppliers

  • Act as 'gatekeeper' for all communications requests from client and relevant parties and channel through to rights holders and ambassadors as appropriate

  • Take a leading role within on-site comms teams to support media management and amplification at all events where agency staff is needed

  • Support client's in-house comms team to develop strategy and plans in key client markets around the world

  • Develop strategy and sport partnership content to support amplification and engagement across clients owned channels; encompassing client, rights holder and ambassador channels

  • Work with client, regional teams and agent partners to create sport partnership content, incentives and opportunities for purposes of internal communication and employee engagement

  • Build robust evaluation and reporting practices to measure sport partnerships communications performance

  • Demonstrate proficiencies in the management of junior teams and an ability to delegate, support and build their skill sets accordingly

  • Supporting the broader business and London leadership team in other ad-hoc tasks related to existing or prospective clients

    Bachelors degree (or equivalent qualification) and or:

  • Relevant agency or client-based experience across PR and Communications within the golfing landscape

  • Specific experience in amplifying sport partnerships; working closely with rights holders and ambassadors

  • Knowledge and expertise in Golf and across a variety of sports is preferable

  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of client-service deliverables through critical path planning and resource management to maintain high quality output

  • Record of developing and implementing marketing programs with a cross-functional team

  • In-depth knowledge and network of sport media and journalists (with a strong understanding of golf)

  • Natural communication skills to inspire and nurture a team whilst maintaining agency culture

  • Excellent writing skills to draft media materials, toolkits and proposals whilst managing team development of copy writing and plan writing skills

  • Track record of developing creative ideas and content to deliver against earned and owned channel objectives

  • Strong understanding of digital landscape with experience in building and executing against social strategy

  • Organised and detail oriented in a fast-paced, client service environment

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices

  • Excellent time management, written and oral communication skills
