Full Job Description

  • You will work with key partners to learn and implement aspects of the digital strategy at St Ives, including; the development and maintenance of the scanning service, training others, and monitoring the quality of the scanned reports.

  • Ensuring policy and procedural documents are in place to meet the requirements of accreditation to ISO Apply and other external regulators.

  • Work closely with Technical Services Manager to maintain the quality of client reports and to support questions and audits where required.

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the effectiveness a new Laboratory at St Ives.

  • Support the training program within the business to develop staff

  • Drafting documents and reports, summarizing status on issues, appraising outcomes, and providing progress reports for the Backlogs Management Team.

    An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and well-motivated HCPC registered Biomedical Scientist with previous experience in a senior BMS role. You will bring excellent communication and personnel skills and be able to lead and work effectively as part of a team, as well having extensive Cellular Pathology experience., Postgraduate level qualification equivalent to MSc in Cell Path

Backlogs provides a remote cellular pathology reporting service for NHS Hospitals, working s with over 40 Trusts and is supported by 110 Consultants throughout the UK.

  • During 2024 Backlogs will be implementing an end to end digital cellular pathology reporting platform, with the ambition of opening a laboratory in Cambridgeshire later in the 2024.
