Full Job Description
- Supporting the Team Leader in providing leadership to the Family Support Team
- Managing the houses
- Effectively linking the Assessment and FSW Teams to ensure families receive a high-quality service
- Directly supporting and assessing families with a range of complex needs who are undertaking a residential parenting assessment
- Demonstrate commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children and young people.
- Be available to work flexibly in response to service need. This includes working alternate weekends and on call provision, on a scheduled rota basis.
- Have significant experience of working with families and children and will hold a relevant qualification or be willing to work towards this.
- Be able to communicate effectively and calmly with children and parents, colleagues, and external professionals
- Demonstrate a professional, sensitive, and compassionate communication style., Children and families: 1 year (required)

The post holder will have a shared responsibility, alongside the wider multidisciplinary team, for safeguarding the children and families that we work with. They will provide a professional and compassionate service to the families we serve.
The Deputy Team Leader will manage the house under the guidance of the Team Leader and ensure that high standards are maintained for the families throughout their stay and that the safety of the environment is maintained.

Orchard House is a well-established family assessment service in Somerset providing evidence based residential parenting assessments for families throughout the UK. Orchard House has an Outstanding Ofsted rating and is a nationally recognised service. First and foremost, we are a safeguarding organisation.
We have an enthusiastic, friendly and supportive multi-disciplinary team. The successful candidate will be joining an experienced House Management Team who bring a variety of different skills to our work.
