Full Job Description

The main purposes of a children's home deputy manager are to:

  • support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the children's home, including deputising for them as required

  • ensure a high standard of care in accordance with legislation, regulations, and the company's policies

  • assist in the management and development of the home and support staff to deliver excellent quality service

  • safeguard and promote the welfare of all children and young people in the home

  • carry out administrative tasks, complete monthly quality assurance reviews, and maintain the home to a high standard

  • formulate personalized care plans for each individual, involving relevant professional agencies and relatives as needed

  • manage the home in the absence of the Registered Manager and lead on Ofsted Inspections

  • oversee the development of staff and the young people in placement, including updating placement plans, risk assessments, and positive handling plans.

    experience as a Children's Home Deputy Manager

  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management

  • experience of building relationships/rapports with others.

  • experience of working in an environment requiring attention to detail and accuracy.

  • experience of leading a team

  • a driving Licence (Mandatory).
