Do you have what it takes to lead and influence strategic initiatives that drive positive change in healthcare?

As the Deputy Director for People in Cwm Taf Morgannwg Health Board, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the workforce strategies that drive our organisation forward.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director for People, you'll lead across the full people directorate portfolio and influence initiatives to optimise employee relations, organisational development, and workforce planning. This senior leadership position is ideal for a strategic thinker with a passion for driving positive change in healthcare., Are you passionate about optimising employee relations, organisational development, and workforce planning in a dynamic healthcare environment?

Some of the main duties involved in this role include:

  • Providing strategic leadership and support to the Executive Director for People in shaping workforce strategies for part of the largest employer in Wales.

  • Having full oversight of the full People Directorate

  • Overseeing employee relations matters, including complex cases and negotiations with trade unions.

  • Leading organisational development initiatives to promote a culture of excellence and innovation.

  • Driving workforce planning efforts to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and service needs.

  • Collaborating with senior leaders and cross-functional teams to implement effective HR policies and practices.

  • Managing resources and budgets within the People Directorate to maximise efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Represent the Health Board in national discussions, negotiations, and policy formation related to HR matters.

    You will be leading a team of talented and passionate professionals and having the ownership of the whole portfolio will mean that you are able to be strategic in your approach. You will be connecting Workforce Planning, Wellbeing, People Services and Organisational Development to work towards one common goal.
