Full Job Description

Weekend roles:

  • Cooking and serving customers with food and drink.

  • Overseeing catering staff and their roles.

  • Working with cash and card payments; cashing up at end of day; replenishing float throughout the day

  • Dealing with customers queries/complaints professionally.

  • Maintaining and cleaning the appearance of all outlets.

  • Quality Control of products sold and control of wastage.

  • Maintain H&S - Understand and maintain HACCP. Ensure that COSHH, Food Safety and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to and any incidents are reported in line with procedures.

  • Experienced using an EPOS/till system.


  • Weekday roles:
  • Monitor stock levels and replenishment

  • Creating purchase orders and ordering stock.

  • Stocktaking - helping with detailed stock levels, including date rotation.

  • Event set up including deep cleaning of units.

  • Managing floats.

    Level 2 or higher in Food Hygiene

  • Knowledge and experience within the event catering business.

  • First class customer service and well presented.

  • Highly organised to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Must be charismatic and have a confident, enthusiastic personality.

  • Flexible approach to work and able to work under pressure.

  • Computer-literate.

  • Be confident with up-selling and promoting products and services

  • Full UK manual driving Licence

    Santa Pod Raceway is the UK's most action-packed venue and home of European Drag Racing, hosting a variety of motorsport and lifestyle car shows and festivals.


  • Santa Pod Raceway is looking to expand its existing catering team and appoint a Deputy Catering Manager to assist the department head. You will support in overseeing and operating a total of 6 in-house, on-site fast food and coffee outlets throughout the course of the season's busy event weekends. You will be part of a small but highly productive team and as such you will be expected to be "up and running" in a short period of time.

    As this department expands, the role will grow accordingly with additional training and career development opportunities.

    Minimum 21 hours contract per week PLUS additional event days/evenings at weekends during the race season March - November. Flexible weekdays off according to the needs of the role.

    Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

    Pay: £13.50 per hour

    Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
