Full Job Description

Role: Part-time Receptionist/Dental nurse required for two to three days per week will include working 8.30 AM till 5 PM. We are looking for a highly enthusiastic, committed, friendly individual to work well within our team and with excellent communication and telephone skills.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Receptionist your daily activities could include:

  • Performing high quality reception and administration service to ensure patient satisfaction and maximum contribution to practice efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability in line with GDC guidelines and practice policies.

  • Meeting and greeting patients, providing a great first impression.

  • Booking and amending appointments, answering the phone, updating patient records.

  • Supporting the Practice Manager and clinical team with the smooth running of the practice and reception duties.

  • Making patients aware of dental services and offers.

  • Handling payments and accessing sensitive information whilst maintaining patient confidentiality.


  • As a Dental Nurse your daily activities could include:
  • Assisting the dentist with providing treatment to patients and ensuring that.

  • Setting up and cleaning down the surgery.

  • Ensuring all instruments are sterilised, bagged and ready for the sessions.

  • Maintaining equipment and monitoring the stock levels.

  • Making sure there is enough instruments and materials for every treatment.

    Ability to keep calm, positive and organisation skills and able to work as a part of a great team demonstrating flexibility both within job role and ability to work extra days on ad hoc basis.

  • Be able to work on own initiative.

  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not essential.

  • Professional in a fast-paced environment.

  • A willingness to learn and progress further in a team is always desired.

  • Previous administration or reception experience preferred but not essential.

  • Efficient with Microsoft Word and Outlook.

  • Preferred SOE/Exact experience but not mandatory.

  • Strong communication and excellent telephone skills
