Delivery Technician

Electricity North West is looking for experienced Delivery Technicians to join our inclusive team in Manchester. The Delivery Technician role comes with a salary of up to £48,448 p/a and many excellent benefits.

As a Delivery Technician, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of a varied portfolio of work on the LV and HV Delivery network to time, cost and quality targets. You will also ensure that all works are carried out in accordance with the relevant Health and Safety legislation and company codes of practice.

In this role, you can expect to:

• Manage on safety performance by setting an exceptional example to colleagues across Electricity North West, challenging others when required


• Deliver a first-class service to our customers


• Execute LV capital projects, including cable overlays, link box replacement and overhead line refurbishment


• Manage LV faults within unit cost and time constraints


• Train and develop colleagues up to LV


• Act as a mentor for less experienced staff


• Direct and manage the activities of industrial teams and contractors on-site, providing operational support where required
  
  To apply for this Delivery Technician role, you will need a City and Guilds Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. You will also require the following:


• LV authorisation, including LV Fault Management


• A desire to obtain 11kV AP Authorisation


• A high level of engineering experience and knowledge in the fields of Fault Management, Low Voltage Overhead Line construction, Low Voltage Underground Construction and Low Voltage Connections


• Working knowledge of the relevant Codes of Practice and the industry as a whole
