Decontamination Technician

Role Responsibilities As a Decontamination Technician you will: Work to a consistently high standard and be responsible for your own actions Check in returned contaminated instruments and equipment after use Prepare instruments for decontamination Reconstruct Surgical instrument packs for reuse Operate the departments electronic tracking system to log and track instruments into, through and out of the department. Person Specification Essential Have a good standard of general education with proven literacy and numeracy skills Have good IT skills Have a proven ability to carry out instructions accurately and work to fixed processes Have good problem solving skills Desirable Previous experience working within a CSSD or Decontamination Unit Have experience in working in an acute healthcare environment
