Data Scientist

We're looking for an experienced data scientist to join the Route to Market function within The One Demand Data & Analytics (ODDA) team, an entrepreneurial and new division to drive innovation and positive disruption within Mars Wrigley leveraging machine learning and AI. This role will closely partner with Product Leads, Data Engineers, and platform teams to scope, design, and build data science solutions to improve business performance and decision-making.,

• Implement data science solutions and best practices to solve business problems such as demand forecasting, route optimization, resource allocation, product recommendation, intervention impact measurement, and generative AI.


• For such models, you will be responsible for the full data science lifecycle from conception to prototyping, testing, developing, deploying, maintaining model health, and measuring the overall business value of the models.



• Establish strong working relationships at all organizational levels across different functional teams.


• Deliver keeping an optimal balance of time to deliver and level of detail/accuracy given data availability and/or imperfections.


• Ability to work closely with the product teams to embed the capability within business routines.


• Provide expertise on statistical and mathematical concepts and inspire the adoption of advanced analytics and data science with users from our business segments and markets around the world.
  
  Prior experience in a data science role or equivalent.


• Understanding of statistical and machine learning techniques and their appropriate application.


• Hands-on experience with Python and SQL. Some level of experience with Databricks and Azure, GCP, or AWS is desired.


• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.


• Ability to turn insights into action through tailored, compelling stories for business stakeholders.
