  • About the role

    It's an exciting time within NFU Mutual as we continue to shape and grow our Data Centre of Excellence (DCoE) to support key strategic programmes and deliver our data strategy successfully. We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Quality & Improvement Analyst to join our Data Management team of 12 on a permanent basis, this is a pivotal role within our organisation in which you will support the data strategy for the business helping to drive improvement and growth throughout.

    In this role you'll help us achieve our objective of creating a marketplace of foundational ready-made, easy to use, trusted data products which are also future proofed. You will deliver strategic data quality analysis against NFU Mutual's framework and approach to Data Quality Management, to enable the proactive monitoring, tracking, and reporting of data quality across the organisation.

    You will lead the creation and development of data quality profiling, analysis, and dashboards for at least one strategic data domain to improve the understanding of data quality issues. You will carry out root cause analysis on priority data quality issues to support the development of remediation recommendations and plans to bring data quality back to agreed standards or within agreed risk appetite. Using your exceptional communication skills, you will liaise and work closely with data domain managers, data engineers, system owners, business SMEs, and architecture colleagues.

    You have proven experience of implementing a Data Quality framework and approach plus delivering strategic data quality profiling and analysis. You have experience of working within a similar data quality role and have demonstrable ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders. You are an excellent communicator and problem solver and are customer focused in your approach. Experience within the insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry would be beneficial.

  • Experience of working with a data quality tool such as Trillium

  • A strong understanding of SQL and Power BI

  • Effective time management skills

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Data visualisation experience
