Full Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and seasoned professional to lead our Data Modelling and Cataloguing team within the Data Services organization.

Data Services is a foundational part of the Data, Digital and Innovation (DDI) product organisation within Securities Services. DDI clients are Securities Services lines of business including Custody, Funds, Execution, and Issuer services and also, the business aligned technology and operations teams. Finally, DDI delivers core services for business clients (institutional).

As the Data Product and Modelling Lead, you will play a central role in shaping and implementing data modelling strategies, owning related technology products, and overseeing the associated transformation initiatives. You will also be responsible for delivering modelling and cataloguing services to various business lines, ensuring the publication of data models for all applications, and maintaining a canonical data modelling framework spanning the Securities Services organization.

This role will report into the Global Head of Data Services for Securities Services and will be a key part of the Data Services Leadership Team.

What you'll do

Establish and maintain a canonical data modelling framework that spans the entire Securities Services organization.

  • Ensure that all applications within the organization have a published data model.


  • Work with data owners and stewards to validate and update data definitions as needed.


  • Work closely with the Quality and Controls team to ensure the monitoring of data aligns with associated logical definitions.


  • Collaborate with the sourcing team to ensure the establishment of sources for defined data items.


  • Act as the product owner for data modelling and cataloguing-related technology, driving innovation and efficiency in data management tools.


  • Deliver high-quality data modelling and cataloguing services to business lines, ensuring alignment with business requirements and data management best practices.

    Solid and demonstrable experience in data modelling and cataloguing, with a focus on leading teams and driving transformation initiatives.

  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams, managing product ownership, and implementing data management best practices.

  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of data modelling principles, tools, and technologies.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred (e.g., Data Management, Computer Science, Information Systems).
